Sofie Zamchick

Sofie Zamchick (born April 2, 1994) is a folk-pop singer/songwriter and actress. She is best known as the voice of Linny the Guinea Pig on the American animated children's television series, Wonder Pets. She attends Juilliard Pre-College. She is widely known for her ability as a versatile musician; she plays the marimba, guitar, piano, and various other percussion instruments.

Acting

Sofie has acted and sung in commercials such as kidzbop, short films, television series, operas and in full feature films. As early as the age of 7, she had already appeared in three Metropolitan Opera productions and sang for Matthew Barney's Cremaster 3.^[1] The operas were Rusalka, Marriage of Figaro, and La Juive. Her most notable works include Priscilla, The Rape of the Sabine Women,^[2] Blood into Flames, and 89 Seconds at Alcázar.^[3] She has also featured in a Virgin Mobile commercial with the famous musician Wyclef Jean.

Wonder Pets

Sofie plays the voice of the main character, Linny the Guinea Pig, on the Emmy Award-winning television series, the Wonder Pets. As a superhero, she wears an orange-yellow cap and a blue cape. Linny appears to be the most educated of the group, often providing different zoological and geographical information to the others. She is usually the one to remind the group about teamwork or other values and offer praise. She leads Ming-Ming and Tuck in most of the show's primary songs and usually has the responsibility of starting the "Flyboat". Linny's catch phrase is "This calls for some celery!", usually declared at the conclusion of each adventure. Before Wonder Pets, Linny starred in a few three-minute shorts on Nick Jr. titled Linny the Guinea Pig, where Linny would explore different environments such as the ocean and outer space.
